I am very pleased to present you the Annual Training
Calendar of the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) for
the academic year 2007-08. As you know, the financial industry has
been evolving faster than ever before, and after observing and
analyzing this situation, major changes have been incorporated in
the target field of the training programmes. While a significant
area continues to be banking, you will find that current topics on
managerial skills as well as technological expertise have been
included.
It gives me immense pleasure to announce that we are
now collaborating with qualified trainers to offer you quality
training. This step will ensure participants getting wide
perspectives on the areas covered and exposure to new strategies
used abroad.
Moreover, as the Sultanate is gearing up to enter new phases in
banking and economy, the demand for developing regional human
resources has become imperative. Our training programmes are
tailor-made for individuals ready to accept new challenges in the
international market.
Let me take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all
banks in the Sultanate and other supporting firms for their
